The pianist Malcolm Braff presents his heavy-grooving modern soul-jazz piano trio, trigger with African shadings that is based on Braff’s research he calls “Non-Euclidean Rhythms”, which consist of rhythms that cannot be divided by integers.
For his latest album “Inside” (ENJA), which has received wide acclaim from music critics in Europe and abroad; Braff is joined by the amazing bassist Reggie Washington (Steve Coleman, Chico Hamilton, Roy Hargrove’s RH Factor, Branford Marsalis, D’Angelo…) and young drum phenomenom Lukas Koenig from Austria.
